The daughter of four-time Grand Slam champion and Team GB gold medallist Martina Hingis has been remembered as ‘beloved’ and ‘beautiful’ niece after she died following an accident during a mountain biking trip in Mongolia.

Jaimi Kenny, 21, and her boyfriend Chris Gipson were discovered dead in an ‘immediate area of death’ in the Gobi Desert.

A relative said: ‘Not only did she look after us as a sister and her family but she was a wonderful niece.

‘She was full of life and a beautiful beautiful person.

‘Our hearts go out to her family.’

Tributes have poured in for the young women, with some calling her Bollywood superstar model sister.

The girls had been on a training camp at Harup Harup, a small, secluded area in the Gobi Desert, according to the Daily Mail.

In a post on Instagram, Hingis described the tragedy as ‘an absolute tragedy.’

She wrote: ‘Such a sad news. We will all miss you both so much. RIP two beautiful boys, whatever happens.’

Jaimi – who had been training for her first Strictly Come Dancing show – reportedly lost consciousness while riding and while he was on to assist her, she died of her injuries.

The pair were heading out on their first mountain bike trip when the accident occurred.

An investigation into the death is ongoing.

The tragedy occurred the day after Martina and Hingis were pictured together at Wimbledon and she also posted a message on Instagram to fans ‘letting you know that I am OK and ready to go to my first show of the year.’

Crowds were left in tears at the event as the tennis pair spoke about their summer break after a tournament in Australia.
