ANAHEIM – Delta McDonald’s on Bellflower Boulevard is closing Oct. 2 following positive test results from the firm’s security workers, sources told 7 Action News.

The company’s security unit tested positive for a toxic chemical, is not authorized to serve fuel, and employees at the drive-thru were not screened before being sent on the trip, according to the sources. The temperature in the drive-thru was 97 degrees, according to the General Manager of the store.

Employees will be notified of the closing during the week of Oct. 1, in the event the operation is not able to be restarted, the sources said.

Loanees will be told at the first available hour to provide transportation to replacements.

The employees will undergo instruction in that testing before working anywhere else. Employees who violate Delta McDonald’s policies and safety protocols, and fail to follow other procedures, will be referred to the Anaheim Department of Fire & Rescue.
