ROCKAWAY, N.Y. (WIVB) – One person was killed and three others were injured following an early morning shooting in Rochester, New York.

The stabbing and shooting took place in the area of East Jamaica Avenue and Pearl Street.

Police issued a list of conditions for those affected by the shooting and confirmed both suspects were shot and died at the scene.

Police said they believe a female suspect with a gun and the man with a gun were involved in the shooting.

There are no suspects in custody yet, but early investigators do believe there are those involved in a gang dispute.

Reportedly, a red sedan was traveling westbound on Pearl Street around 3:00 a.m. when an argument between people began.

The vehicle went eastbound on East Jamaica Avenue and then turned eastbound on Pearl Street.

At some point, the red sedan stopped abruptly, sparking a struggle.

The victim, 57-year-old Peter Wenzel, was stabbed in the neck and later died at the scene.

One person was shot in the arm and another, 19-year-old Alejandro Tejada, was shot in the stomach.

Both are in critical condition.

A fifth victim, a 28-year-old man, suffered a stab wound and was also transported to the hospital.
