× Shooting kills 1 man in Kansas City, Missouri
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Officials in Kansas City, Missouri are investigating a shooting that killed one man and injured another.
According to a statement from the Kansas City Police Department, officers were called to the 100 block of West 43rd Street around 8:25 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a gunshot and a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers found a 45-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. While tending to the victim, another victim, 41-year-old Marvin Williams, was shot in the buttocks.
The two were taken to a hospital in stable condition.
Police said a woman walked by and heard the commotion before finding Williams. She reported that she saw him kneeling, crying and with his hands in the air before the two fled the scene.
Police said no suspects have been identified or arrested in the shooting. They added that detectives are collecting evidence from the scene and will be able to provide further details.
