Eva Longoria just doesn’t understand what a racist word is.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has struggled with race issues in recent months, as her fans have protested her racially insensitive comments about President Donald Trump in a recent tweetstorm.

In fact, a recent New York Times story on the politics of the White House article titled “Trump’s Secret Meeting With A Black American Mother of Four Could Remind His Base That He is Racially Insensitive” found Longoria, 41, to be one of several anti-racism people to praise President Trump for meeting with a black woman who testified against Trump’s administration’s proposed Mexico wall.

Eva Longoria apologized for falsely implying that “Hispanic immigration to the United States had come from Mexico.”https://t.co/dMuMsUaJ2S pic.twitter.com/wCuiC2DqjU — BuzzFeed News (@BuzzFeedNews) November 8, 2017

A multi-racial immigrant who joined a long line of undocumented immigrants was invited to join then-president Barack Obama’s cabinet as a member of his “zero tolerance” policy on undocumented immigration.

She disagreed: “It was actually from Mexico, but you all could see this as a Mexican outcry,” Longoria said on The View in March. “Because if you add in the fact that our own white women are so angry — that people are so upset at the way they see Donald Trump’s policies — I think it brings it home.”

However, according to the Star-Telegram, Longoria has since apologized for questioning the merits of the Black woman’s testimony, adding, “That’s not what happened.”

No word yet on whether Longoria’s tweetstorm is going over well in her Twitter community, but we do understand why her fans were so eager to praise President Trump for meeting with a black woman who has testified against his administration’s actions.
